Club competitions see more winners

As we approach the end of the season (last club meeting is June 27th) some of the internal club competitions have been resolved...

Mark is the winner of the Rook championship having defeated me in the final game last Tuesday. Alex T had already won the Bishop by the time of last week's final round but the evening also saw Guy confirmed as winner of the Knight. Congratulations to all the winners!

The longplay KO might be decided next week when Mark and I meet again to contest the final, with the quickplay KO final (also between us!) to follow in due course. I think Chris was on track to win the rapidplay competition when I last looked but there are still a couple of weeks left for others to catch up maybe...

If you were a winner of a silver trophy last season please ensure it is polished up ready to hand back shortly so we can get them engraved in time for the AGM in September.
