(Photo credit: Brendan O'Gorman) Current club champion Phil had a great return to over-the-board tournaments by finishing equal third in the over-65 section of the British Senior Championships...

Held at Milton Keynes and finishing last weekend, the field was eventually topped by Roger De Coverly with 5.5/7, his only loss being inflicted by Phil in the final round! Phil finished with 4.5/7.

Fantastic, well done Phil. A bit of trivia for other club members - Phil, Roger De Coverly and I were all at the same Cambridge college and indeed overlapped, playing (possibly for two years?) in the same college team.
