Last night saw Horsham 6 compete in our first away game of the season (not counting the first game against Horsham 5!).
Our opponents …. the formidable Brighton & Hove 5 team, the current leaders of Div 4 who had easily won their first 2 matches. But was last night going to be their night? No, it wasn’t! From being down 0-2 (by about 9:30pm) Horsham 6 duly ground out hard fought wins on the 3 remaining boards securing the all important match victory at 10:45pm.

Last Friday night Horsham 1 visited Crowborough for a league match against their first team. In the end both teams deserved to get something from the match and that was how it ended...

Horsham 2 were pleased with the final result which starts a season which will hopefully result in Horsham 2 promotion. Horsham 3 are a force to be reckoned with...

The Horsham first team hosted Lewes 1 on Tuesday, and ended up 4.5-0.5 victors against an under-strength opposition that nevertheless acquitted itself well...

Jon lost the exchange and soon after the game in a queens Indian with neither player castling, Julie had time trouble and missed the opportunity to equalise with RxR+ before Norman exchanged the last pair of Rooks and gained a piece.
