On Tuesday January 27th Horsham hosted Brighton in the McArthur Cup, a historic Sussex tournament dating back to 1889, played over six boards. The teams were evenly matched, but after a tough struggle we emerged as the winners.
On the final Tuesday of the season Horsham's top 6 players travelled to Lewes for the McArthur Cup final, seeking to redress the loss of the MSL KO final to the same opponents recently! Captain Mark Broom reports...

In previous seasons Horsham have had to face Brighton in the first round of the McArthur Cup and have progressed no further. This year we had to visit their venue but to face a different team - Woodpushers...
Horsham was defeated by Brighton in the McArthur Cup match at Horsham last night. Brighton were always on the front foot in the match. Horsham in fact managed to draw 2-2 on the top 4 boards, but Brighton won on both boards 5 and 6 for a 4-2 scoreline in their favour.
